A win! Hell-a-freaking-lu-yah, at last, a win!
It feels like it has been an age. There have been plenty of great games, good runs, nanna camaraderie and fraternal bonhomie but not so much in the way of winning feelings.
At last, at last…
And against a team who have historically owned us, huzzah!

• we really struggled for ringers this week.
• Guido arrived late so we commandeered a random bystander
• they went up very early with a strange goal that kind of rolled past giller
• we came back into it with great goals from Taoser
• Guido scored a couple of bangers
• I (largely) pulled off a bergkampesque flick and turn ( the shot itself was a bit of scuff but still made it in)
• Guidos son Asher• continues to kick balls onto the pitch no matter how much he gets yelled at by other adults
• Guido was through on goal in the dying seconds when a random ball rolled onto the pitch right in the box
• after much umming and ahhing we decided to go the railway for dinner but got there after the kitchen had closed
• the real Nannas went to the nightcap for dancing and good times the lame nannas went home to finish the photobook for the grandparents that is already 2 years over due
• the world is still in a parlous state

* Le Coq dodged a voting ban for failing to post his report for last week, naughty Le Coq (at least he did post one eventually, even if it was a bit shit… sound familiar?)
