We got beat, we got beat real good. Second week in a row, gol darn it. But at least we scored 1 goal when their goalie was well over the halfway line. He must have made 10 runs like that (and scored more than once!) to load shouts from the NAnnas of “goals open”. We’d had a few attempts from distance without luck until Takeshi dropped a lovely ball into the authors path just inside our half, I was able to to hold off the final defender and sort of lob/stroke/scuff the ball goalwards, it had just enough legs to reach the net before the goalie made it back, just, admittedly they were 12 goals to the good at this point and not super fussed. Anyway. Aside from the score it was a good game and a goodly run. Andy tucked one away and I managed to finish up with a quartet.

We then followed up with the inaugural post match model BBQ. Rhian brought the sausage, bun, beer goodness, the classiest mobile cycle based bbq in melbourne and homegrown cherries to fisish off. Takeshi brought more beers and I brought the coleslaw (with kewpie mayo dressing for god sake) + the new 360˚ imaging tech, chasbenis brought the table tennis bats, it was tight, it was right.
